Hanseatic city of Kampen
Kampen is a beautiful old Hanseatic city on the IJssel. You pass through the part of the city that enjoys a protected cityscape. And not without reason. Here you can see the beautiful Cellebroederspoort, which originally dates from 1465. You can see some monumental buildings on the Burgwal. The Broederkerk is a hall church from the fourteenth century. Further on is the Botermarkt, a medieval trading square.
Medieval Church
On the other side of the IJssel you drive through Wilsum. You can admire the Sint-Lambertuskerk from 1050 here, it is one of the oldest churches in Gelderland. In Zalk you will pass De Valk, a corn mill from 1860. You can also make a refreshing pit stop here on the cozy terrace of Restaurant De Oase.
