This route takes you along the raised bog area of Deurnsche Peel. You will discover the sub-area De Bult and the highest point of De Peel: De Paardekop. The area is varied and diverse, with higher and lower, dry and moist heathland, forests, fens and water. The name 'De Paardekop' comes from a legend about a battle that took place in the area between riders. Many horse skulls are said to have been found in this area. Along the way you can take a break at Natuurpoort Green Valley Estate. You cycle back via Molen Nooit Gedacht in Merselo. This beautiful old mill was built in 1850 and designed for grinding grain and oak bark (oak). The mill was on fire twice, but was made ready to grind again both times.
