Description
The Huis ter Heide estate includes a frog pond with yellow iris, floating pondweed, water sorrel and arrowweed. The house was originally intended as a hunting lodge. Part of this route takes you through De Loonse and Drunense Duinen National Park. This nature reserve is special because the drifting sand can actually drift freely here. You won't find that on such a large scale anywhere in Europe anymore.
