Vinkeveen Tour: along lakes and rivers

Via Vinkeveen you will make a beautiful bike ride through a typical Dutch landscape. This route takes you through the Ronde Venen: a region with old towns, plenty of water and beautiful old towns. In Vinkeveen and Demmerik you will see old buildings and farms that are often only accessible via a small bridge over a wide ditch. At Wilnis you will pass the Veenmolen, a corn mill from 1823. Along the meandering Kromme Mijdrecht you can enjoy beautiful views from the path. The surrounding polder has slowly subsided due to subsidence. De Hoef is a pleasant town where the monumental Pondskoekersluis from the second half of the nineteenth century is located. You can also admire the Antonius van Padua here, a beautiful church from 1921.
