From Vinkeveen, you'll enjoy a beautiful bike ride through a quintessentially Dutch landscape. This route takes you through the Ronde Venen: a region with old villages, abundant water, and charming old towns. In Vinkeveen and Demmerik, you'll see old buildings and farms, often only accessible via a small bridge over a wide ditch. Near Wilnis, you'll pass the Veenmolen, a corn mill dating from 1823. Along the meandering Kromme Mijdrecht river, you'll enjoy stunning views from the path. The surrounding polder has slowly subsided due to landslide. De Hoef is a charming village where the monumental Pondskoekersluis lock from the second half of the nineteenth century is located. Here, you can also admire the St. Anthony of Padua, a beautiful church dating from 1921.
