Tour of windmills around Scherpenberg and Spelderholt

Your route will soon lead you to Papierfabriek De Middelste Molen. The water mill from 1887 grinds on the Loenense Beek, but paper has been produced at this location since 1622. After a restoration organized by paper manufacturers from the region, paper has been milled again with the mill since 1991. The production process has hardly been adjusted and the Middelste Molen is the only working paper factory in the Netherlands that still runs on water power. The Lana Marina mill has been at its current location since 1739. The first mention dates from before 1500. You cycle straight through the woods back to your starting point.
