From here you walk to the other side of the city, where you discover the Reijerpark. It is set up as an arboretum or tree garden and you will find almost 300 tree species. After lunch on the large terrace of your starting point, you walk to the Ridderkerkse griend (willow plantation). It is one of the last tidal pilot whales in the country, you can only find them along the rivers Noord and Oude Maas. The difference between ebb and flow is almost a metre. Between the summer quay and the Deltadijk you walk along the Gorzenplas, or the'Meer der Stilte\\\'. Earth from the Gorzenplas was used to raise the Delta dike. A nice varied route!
