From rich houses

Brummen Eerbeek has a high density of'rich houses\\\'. This route takes you through the center and the outskirts of Brummen. You will not only see beautiful houses on leafy avenues, but also rich nature. After all, Brummen Eerbeek is wedged between De Veluwezoom National Park and the IJssel. Along the way you can enjoy one house after another with history. Admire, among others, the Reuvershoeve, Helbergen, Reuversweerd, Spaensweerd Estate, De Wijde Landen, Huis Brunheim, Huize Den Bosch, Wildbaan, Engelenburg Castle, Huis Empe and Huis Voorstonden. 

One of the gems of this route is Engelenburg Castle. This castle was built in the 17th century and the house was extensively restored in 1828. However, the old layout of the castle was retained. Engelenburg Castle served as a model for the construction of Paleis Het Loo in 1684.
