Tour of Hoeksche Waard and Numansdorp

Your cycling route takes you through the region around Numansdorp, in the middle of the marine clay landscape, just above the Hollands Diep. This is the Hoeksche Waard, an island situated in the shadow of Rotterdam. Here, you cycle about fifty kilometers through the South Holland polders. You start at the Binnenbedijkte Maas. This lake is a dammed branch of the Maas in the Hoeksche Waard. The route gets off to a good start at Hoeksche Zuivel with a real farm-made ice cream. You then cycle past two beautiful windmills. The first is the Antonymolen, the second De Hoop. It is a pleasant ride through this rural setting. Along the way, you will fully enjoy the birdlife before arriving in Numansdorp. Via Klaaswaal, the route leads you to Oud-Beijerland and Mijnsheerenland, returning to your starting point.
