The Brabant countryside is bursting with beautiful nature reserves. How about the Kampinase Heide and the Oisterwijk forests and fens, for example? You start the cycle route in Boxtel at Eetcafé De Oude Ketting, a restaurant with a nice terrace where you can settle down in good weather. Great for a cup of coffee with a treat before you start the route, or where you can enjoy a nice lunch afterwards. Then you leave for Kampina, a beautiful nature reserve with fens, grasslands and wet heaths. The second part of the route you cycle through the Oisterwijk forests and fens, also a wonderful area where you can relax. Here, atmospheric pools, wooded areas and idyllic vistas alternate.

Eetcafe De Oude Ketting is a restaurant with a fresh, warm and authentic ambiance. There is also a large and cozy terrace where you can sit. The terrace is heated in cold times. On the menu you will find dishes from the Dutch kitchen that are prepared according to traditional methods. The daily menu changes daily and consists of three courses. You are of course also welcome for a coffee with something delicious. There is plenty of parking space at De Oude Ketting. You will also find an ecotap for cyclists.

5281EJ Boxtel

Located in Boxtel and the oldest mention dates back to 1293. Since 1915 the castle has been used as a monastery by the Assumptionists.
