Description
Your route starts at the Kastanjefabriek. After a nice cup of coffee you set off.
You make a beautiful round around Haaksbergen. You discover the Haaksbergerveen, one of the most beautiful raised bog areas in the Netherlands. It is a mix of marshy raised bog, vast heathlands, woods and grasslands. The Buurserzand is unique in Europe due to its size and wet character. You see a diversity of heathlands with old juniper berries, forests, small fields and orchid meadows. Just across the border you drive along the Ammeloer Venn in Germany, a nature reserve where many birds live.
