A figure eight walk from Wintelre

You will soon pass the Grootmeer and Kleinmeer, two natural fens in the Buikheide nature reserve. Because of the special flora, the fens are a protected natural monument. There is a lookout tower that offers you a beautiful panorama. The Oirschotse heath is a large heath and drifting sand area, which is mainly used as a military training area. Birds such as the nightjar, the black grouse and the crossbill pay no attention to all the clashing of weapons and are numerous here. Along the way you will pass the Farm Terrace and the Hoeve de Nachtegaal stable, where you can relax and enjoy a snack and a drink.
