Description
Discover the beautiful area of the former island of Wieringen, an Eldorado for nature lovers and peace seekers. You walk along the Wadden Sea for a large part of the route. The fresh breeze from the sea blows through your hair, while you have a beautiful, wide view during the walk. The route starts at the parking lot just above Noordburen. After a while you arrive in the harbor town of Den Oever, which is located just before the Afsluitdijk. You can take a break at Restaurant Basalt. While enjoying a cup of coffee, you look out over the harbor. Delicious right? You walk back to Noordburen via the quiet polders. This route is ideally suited if you are looking for a quiet route by the sea.
