Family walk along the Maas and the Arcen estate

This fun family-friendly walking route starts at De Maasparel - Hotel & Restaurant. With a view over the Maas, you walk to Kasteel Arcen, a country house whose origins date back to the twelfth century. Better known for its beautiful gardens! You will also see an old watermill here, now the domain of the De IJsvogel grain distillery. Then you cross back to the Maas, where you will discover Barbara\\\'s Weerd. This nature development area with forest and meadows is located in the floodplains. You walk back along the maze of Arcen, which is exposed by the Limburgs Landschap. A few years ago, height measurements were used to track down a previously unknown maze and a remnant of a centuries-old garden in the forests on the Arcen estate. A fun discovery!
