Family walk along the Maas and Arcen Estate

This fun family-friendly walking route starts at De Maasparel - Hotel & Restaurant. With a view over the Maas you walk to Arcen Castle, a country house whose origins date back to the twelfth century. Better known for the beautiful gardens! You will also see an old water mill here, now the domain of the grain roasting company De IJsvogel. Then you cross again to the Maas, where you discover Barbara\\\'s Weerd. This nature development area with forests and meadows is located in the floodplains. You walk back along the Arcen maze, which is exposed by the Limburg Landscape. A few years ago, height measurements were used to locate a previously unknown maze and the remains of an ancient garden in the woods on the Arcen Estate. A nice discovery!
