Description

In Oirschot itself you will also be amazed. You will see the sixteenth-century St. Peter's Basilica and Museum de Vier Quartieren, about life in Brabant in the past. Further on is the Mariakerk, a small building from the twelfth century. Via a nice cafe in the forest you drive to the Kampina, a vast nature reserve. The name is derived from the Roman word campina, which means wasteland. You can still see that primeval landscape in the Kampina. In August, the blooming heather creates a beautiful color mosaic in shades of purple. You will find authentic farms and hamlets all around. Wonderful cycling area!
