Your walking route starts at the beautiful natural campsite Camping de Waps, in the middle of the Fonteinbos. This forest is located on the edge of the Frisian village of Oudemirdum, in the Gaasterland. Anyone who thought there was no forest to be found in Friesland still has a lot to discover here! You will also pass Rijsterbosch, a nice place for a break. The pancake house has a nice terrace. Gaasterland is known for its hilly and wooded landscape. A wonderful area for your walking holiday. With the walking route network you can easily map out a nice route here. Stay a little longer and enjoy the area. For the tent camper you will find a number of special places on mounds at De Waps. With a beautiful view over the Fonteinwei!
