Round Little Houses, Way of the Cross and Monastery Neighbors

First you walk to the village Kleine Huisjes (in Gronings: Lutje Hoeskes), so called because there were houses for farm workers who worked in the polders to the north of the village. At junction 85 you will find a sundial in the shape of a farm worker. You continue walking along extensive fields. Kruisweg was also created in the nineteenth century as a place of residence for workers who went to work in the new polders. Above the village you walk a bit through a forest. Then you walk around the village of Kloosterburen, again through a piece of forest. The name of this village refers to the two monasteries that once stood here.
