B&B De Ster van Dwingeloo is located on the edge of Dwingeloo. In 2012 this village was declared the greenest in the Netherlands. From here you can cycle straight into the Dwingelderveld National Park. Do you spot the flock of sheep and its shepherd? They still roam freely here. Halfway through you end up in the picturesque Ruinen. Just like Dwingeloo, this is a green village. In general, these villages originated in the High Middle Ages. Cattle were kept on the green and the residents planted poplars and oaks. This wood was then used again for building. Often the brink was in the center of the village and markets took place. After about 25 kilometers you will arrive at your starting point. Enjoy the peace and quiet at your beautiful B&B.
