From the beautiful B&B De Ster van Dwingeloo in Dwingeloo you walk in the direction of Dieverbrug. You leave this village behind and turn right into nature. You are now walking through the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. This is one of the largest and most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. The landscape alternates through forest, heathland, drifting sand and brook valley grasslands. After the Veluwe, the Drents-Fries Wold is the largest continuous forest area in our country. Grazers walk on the plains. And do you spot the black woodpecker? This bird is the symbol of the large forest area. After about 25 kilometers you will arrive at your starting point. Time for well-deserved relaxation!
