Walking tour through Planken Wambuis

Be surprised by the beautiful surroundings of the wild and wide landscape of the area around Ede and Otterlo. This route takes you through the Planken Wambuis nature reserve. This nature reserve of over 2100 ha is owned by the association Natuurmonumenten. Planken Wambuis is a drifting sand area that is largely overgrown with heathland and forest. Part of it was reclaimed in the past and put into use as agricultural land. Along the way you can take a break at Boerderij Mossel, an idyllic tearoom in the middle of nature. You can go there for a cup of coffee with apple pie and a delicious lunch. When the weather is nice you can sit on the terrace, but when the weather is bad you can also sit in the cozy sheepfold. You can also stay at the farm with large groups of up to 28 people.
