With this route you take a beautiful trip through the vast Kempen nature. In the picturesque hamlet of Leenderstrijp you will see some monumental old long-gable farms. You can still experience the atmosphere of times gone by here, just step off and take a look around! From Kapelstraat you can turn left to view the beautiful St. John's Chapel from 1843. Further on you will pass the Heimolen, a corn mill from 1754. In the Leenderbos you will have no trouble enjoying the silence and the natural beauty. The forest is mainly planted with Scots pines that were once intended for mining timber. On the adjacent Groote Heide you cycle past two tranquil fens. What a beautiful spot. Along the way in Valkenswaard, stop at Grandcafé Markt 14, a nice spot for lunch!
