Description
It Butenfjild , frieze for Buitenveld, is an ancient peat area with many interesting stories. It is an area where extensive excavation has taken place, but it is also the location of the Schierstins, the last medieval tower built in the 13th century.
Lakes, polder landscape and hay meadow area where Exmoor ponies graze; it Butenfjild is an interesting backdrop for a brisk walk.
