Wamberg Tour from Berlicum

You put on your hiking boots and walk to the beautiful Aa river valley. In 2017, two brothers found over a hundred Roman coins here with their metal detector. Romans may have thrown them into the water at a crossing to ensure a safe crossing. Further on, you'll discover Kasteel De Wamberg, a wooded estate with a castle. You'll find several playhouses there: these were built from the late Middle Ages purely for entertainment, not for residential purposes. The Eikenlust playhouse already existed in 1370. There are also farms. The Wambergse Hoeve is the oldest, dating from the fourteenth century. A beautiful, watery, and rural route leads you back to Berlicum.
