From Maurik you cycle a long way along the Lower Rhine, a water-rich nature reserve where you can completely relax. At Kesteren you turn the other way and cycle towards the west. You cycle past Maurik Island, a nature reserve and recreation area. A river used to run here and a dead river arm was created near Maurik. The area in between is called Island of Maurik. A wonderful area to cycle through!
