Tour Landgoed De Paltz from Amersfoort

Amersfoort is beautifully situated on the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, making it the perfect base for a walk. Take the train to Amersfoort station and set off from there. This route takes you through the nature reserve to the west of the city. You first walk a bit along the buildings of Amersfoort. Then you can relax while you walk over Landgoed De Paltz in the woods between Soesterberg Air Base, Soestduinen and Amersfoort. This estate was designed in 1876 by the landscape architects Copijn and Springer. You will find beech avenues, water features, a stately villa and much more beautiful here. You then walk right past Soesterberg through nature back to Amersfoort. You eventually end up at Amersfoort station in the center of the city.
