Description

Schouwen-Duiveland is an ideal hiking region if you want to get a breath of fresh air. With a visit to Zierikzee you also take a unique piece of cultural history with you.

Prunje Polder
 Then the first loop of the route leads you through the Prunjepolder, the oldest polder on the island. You are surrounded by rugged grasslands and of course lots of water. The nature reserve is a true bird paradise, so bring binoculars! In Serooskerke you can take a look at the Sint-Alardskerk from 1425.

Zierikzee
You enter Zierikzee. An old town full of historic buildings. Ideal for a walk, so that you have all the time to enjoy the rich cultural history and the special atmosphere. At the Havenplein you can see beautiful patrician houses and the Gasthuiskerk from the fifteenth century.
