Walking around the De Wamberg estate

Your walk starts at Eetcafe De Prins on the edge of the De Wamberg estate, a wooded area where there is plenty to see and experience. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a platter of refined sweets before putting on your walking shoes. You walk the first part of the route along the Zuid-Willemsvaart, then you walk north and cross the Aa. You cross the De Wamberg estate, which is located between the valley of the Groote Wetering and that of the Aa. In addition to De Wamberg Castle you will also find a number of playhouses: they were built purely for entertainment since the Middle Ages. The Eikenlust playhouse already existed in 1370. There are also farms there. The Wambergse Hoeve is the oldest and dates from the fourteenth century.
