Description
Beautiful towns and quiet nature reserves on the border with Germany: there is a lot to discover with this route! You start at Koffie en Theeschenkerij Hof 't Sprakel. You will soon pass through Haaksbergen, a pleasant town. Further on you cycle through the Haaksbergerveen and the adjacent German nature reserve the Ammeloer Venn. Along the border it is wonderful to make kilometers through the Twente coulisselandscape. In between you can stop at Hotel Restaurant Kloppendiek for something tasty. Further on lies the nice town of Eibergen. Here you have enough choice for a pit stop, because the route passes Hof van Eckberge, Grand Café De Klok Patisserie, Hotel De Kastanjefabriek. As you cycle north again, you come through the forests of Landgoed Lankheet: an old farm landscape with ash trees, hedgerows and coppices.
