Mariënwaerdt estate
First you drive to the picturesque village of Enspijk. You cross the Linge, after which you drive through the Mariënwaerdt Estate. This private estate of over 900 hectares contains no fewer than 40 national monuments, such as 14 homesteads, haystacks and flood barns. A beautiful environment where natural beauty and the rich cultural history of Gelderland are combined.
Betuwe
From Beusichem you cycle through the floodplains along the Lek, at junction 39 you can view the Princess Marijke locks. In the Betuwe you drive on car-free roads past meadows and orchards. What a wonderfully peaceful cycling experience here! Around Zoelen Castle you experience the atmosphere of a bygone era, just like in the picturesque village of Erichem, which you drive through a little later. Finally, you cycle through the pleasant Geldermalsen.
