Your starting point today is Zuidlaren, a village with seven village greens. From here you drive straight into the Drentsche Aa National Landscape, the best preserved stream and esdorp landscape in Western Europe. Here you cycle through the Drenthe of the past with Saxon farms around the village green, fields on the rounded ash trees and hay fields in the lower stream valley. An experience in itself, so take your time to look at everything carefully. And to enjoy the peace.

Nice villages
With this route you will not only discover the beautiful nature in the north of Drenthe, you will pass through a number of picturesque villages. Such as the centuries-old green village of Tynaarlo. The charming Eelde is also worth a visit. Here you will find the cozy terrace of Café Theater G & A Boelens, where you can always find a spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. On the way back to Zuidlaren you will drive through the Drentsche Aa National Landscape again: beautiful!
