From Bilthoven you descend to the vast peat polders. You pass the Persijn Estate, further on you drive through the picturesque Westbroek. Molenpolder is a beautiful nature reserve that was created by peat extraction. You cycle along the Stichtse Vecht to Oud-Zuilen, where you can take a look at Zuylen Castle, which largely dates from the early sixteenth century. Then the historic center of Utrecht awaits you. So many beautiful old buildings, such a nice atmosphere: what a treat to cycle through them. On the edge of the city you cycle into the Amelisweerd where you will encounter Fort Rhijnauwen, among other things.
