A tour of the Strabrechtse Heide

Kleine Dommel
At Boscafé Pastoorke Van Moorsel you immediately drive into the fresh woods. Just warm up your legs and voilà: you drive onto the Strabrechtse Heide. The heather is grazed by a herd of authentic Kempen heather sheep. Ancient times seem to read on when you meet the flock and its shepherd. You cross the Kleine Dommel, from the bridge you have a beautiful view of this meandering stream.

Hoenderboom
In the De Groote Heide nature reserve, you can also fully enjoy the succession of woods, heaths and fens. What a silence! At Restaurant de Boswachter Heeze you make a pit stop, after which you drive through the Brabant countryside. In the former monastery of Providentia you are welcome to take a break at brasserie De Broeders for a coffee or lunch. On the Strabrechtse Heide you will pass another striking copy of an old boundary marker.
