Your route starts at Het Polderhuis, museums & more in Westkapelle. A little later you can taste the small-scale tourist character of Zeeland in the young seaside resort of Oostkapelle. There used to be a chapel in Oostkapelle, which is the sister of another chapel in Westkapelle. That place developed better in the Middle Ages than Oostkapelle, which remained a small farming village until the twentieth century. Just outside Grijpskerke you will pass't Munnikenhof, a former country estate from the thirteenth century. In the seventeenth century, Jacob Cats acquired the castle, where he wrote most of his poems. Via the small villages of Meliskerke, Biggekerke and Koudekerke you arrive in cozy Zoutelande. A nice place to have a drink on a terrace!
