This cycle route starts at Strand- en Eetcafé Boelies. Under the smoke of the world port of Rotterdam, you will discover the most beautiful nature reserves at Voorne-Putten. Voornes Duin is one of the most species-rich dune areas in Western Europe. Besides beautiful dunes you will find flowery grasslands, humid valleys and dune forests here. Because no drinking water is extracted here, the dunes are very humid. Numerous birds can be seen in the dune lakes. You will pass the shore of the Oostvoornse Meer, a nice place to bathe for a while. Then you drive along the leafy banks of the Brielse Meer. You cycle back with a view of the Haringvlietdam (the sixth building of the Delta Works), while you drive along the Haringvliet. On and around the water you will find all kinds of animals - especially birds - and plants.
